If you’re interested in opening your home to host a student musician from the Concordia University A Cappella Choir and/or the Concordia Seminary Laudamus Choir, please read the requirements below, fill out the application, and the Music Ministry Office at Bethany Lutheran Church will be in touch with you. Applications are open until March 4, 2026.

Hosting 101

Thanks for your interest in hosting a few touring musicians! Please read the following information before filling out an application.

  • Host families are required to host a minimum of two musicians. Students are okay sharing a double bed or larger. Please ensure that you only take the amount of musicians that you can COMFORTABLY host.

  • Please ensure that your home is in good order - clean, not under construction, no fresh paint that still has an odor, etc.

  • Students will need to be fed breakfast in the morning of their stay with you. Please make sure that you are able to provide this BEFORE their call time in the morning (listed below). Please be mindful that some musicians may have food sensitivities or allergies. That information (if applicable) will be provided to you the night of the concert when you pick them up.

  • The concerts will approximately be 90 minutes in length. Each concert starts at 7:00pm on their respective dates.

  • After each concert, student musicians can visit with congregation members & guests, share University PR and sell CD’s. Music equipment will also need to be torn down.

  • For the Concordia University A Cappella Choir (March 11-12), students need to be returned to Bethany Lutheran Church, Long Beach Campus by 6:15AM. It is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that this is done.

  • For the Concordia Seminary Laudamus Choir (March 17-18), students need to be returned to Bethany Lutheran Church, Long Beach Campus by 9:00AM. It is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that this is done.
